ECLIPSE OF US
Exploring Love and Loss in Virtual Spaces
In a groundbreaking collaboration with virtual production artist Carlos Sales, Taylor utilized XR technology on an LED Volume stage to craft the story of Eclipse of Us. This trailer-style short film follows Alexei, a dedicated worker at a newly built nuclear plant, whose passion for his job spirals into an all-consuming obsession. As his commitment deepens, the strain on his marriage to Elena becomes unbearable, leading to catastrophic consequences for both his health and his career.
Set across two entirely virtual locations, Eclipse of Us was brought to life in just a few weeks by a small but talented team, leveraging innovative filmmaking technology to push the boundaries of storytelling. This project stands as a testament to the power of XR in creating immersive and emotionally resonant narratives.
