ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

ORGANIZED CREATIVITY IN ACTION

As an Assistant Director, I thrive on bringing order to the creative chaos of filmmaking. With a strong background in scheduling, logistics, and team coordination, I ensure that every production day runs smoothly and efficiently. Whether it’s crafting detailed call sheets, liaising with department heads, or problem-solving on the fly, I am dedicated to keeping the vision of the project on track while meeting the practical needs of the cast and crew.

I’ve honed my AD skills on projects ranging from short films to larger productions, including Beasts from Before and Basptism by Fire. My ability to anticipate challenges and find solutions has allowed directors and creative teams to focus on storytelling while I manage the complexities of the set.

With experience across all aspects of production, I excel at creating clear communication channels, fostering collaboration, and adapting to the ever-changing demands of filmmaking. For me, being an AD is more than just organization—it’s about facilitating an environment where creativity can flourish.

DISCOVER THE PROCESS

CALL SHEETS

Organized, Clear, and Customized

I create all my own call sheet templates, tailored to the specific needs of each production. Before Day 1, I make it a priority to communicate my role and contact information to the entire cast and crew, ensuring everyone is on the same page from the start. This proactive approach sets the foundation for smooth communication throughout the production.

To enhance organization and readability, I color-coordinate every document to align with the production’s theme. It’s a small detail, but it adds clarity—and a touch of personality—to the often-overwhelming world of spreadsheets.

Shooting Schedules

Thoughtfully Crafted, Director-Focused

I bring a strategic and collaborative approach to creating shooting schedules, leveraging tools like Movie Magic Budgeting to break down scripts and scenes into their essential elements. By analyzing each individual aspect of a scene—locations, props, special effects, and more—I can sequence an efficient and realistic schedule tailored to the production’s needs.

Before finalizing a schedule, I host meetings with department heads to gather input on the practicalities of shooting each shot and scene. This collaborative process ensures every department’s voice is heard and accounted for, allowing me to anticipate challenges and keep notes for potential adjustments.

At the heart of my scheduling process is a commitment to supporting the director’s vision. My experience in various aspects of filmmaking—directing, writing, and cinematography—has given me a broad understanding of how each department operates, enabling me to craft schedules that balance creative priorities with logistical realities.
